Data Deletion

How to ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you — and what happens when you do.

FixRiver.com is owned by FixRiver, a company incorporated under the name FIXRIVER LLC, with a tax identification number (EIN) 352840404 and registered office at 7901 4TH ST N, STE 300, ST PETERSBURG, FL, USA, 33702, which is the data controller for the personal data described below.

This page explains what personal data we may hold about you, how to ask us to delete it, how long we take, and the few things we are required to keep. It expands on the right to erasure described in our Privacy Policy.

You do not need an account to make a request, and you do not need to give us any new personal data to make one.

1. What data we may hold about you

If you contacted us or asked for a quote. Your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you told us in the form or in the conversation: the platform you use today, your billing range, your message.

If you wrote to us on WhatsApp. Your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the message history of that conversation.

If you browsed the site. A random identifier stored in your own browser, which pages and sections you viewed, your browser’s user agent, your screen size, and the campaign parameters or advertising click identifiers of the link you arrived from. This is first-party and pseudonymous: on its own it does not name you. If you later write to us, it can be linked to you.

If you bought something. Your name, billing email, country and the record of the transaction. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store them.

If we sent you a private document. Quotes, proposals and audit reports we published for you at an unlisted address, together with whatever you shared with us so we could write them.

We do not sell your personal data. When a purchase is completed we may send a one-way hashed identifier — such as your email address, or the advertising click identifier you arrived with — to Meta and LinkedIn, so the sale is attributed to the campaign it came from. Deleting your data with us also stops that.

2. If you are a student or customer of a platform we built

Some of what we operate — academies, portals and internal tools — belongs to our clients. We run the technology; the data is theirs. In those cases we act only as a processor: contact the organization that gave you your account, and they will instruct us. If you are not sure who that is, write to us and we will point you to the right place without disclosing anything about you.

3. How to request deletion

By email, the fastest way. Send a message to contacto (at) fixriver (dot) com with the subject Data deletion, and tell us:

  • The email address or phone number you used with us, so we can find your records.
  • Whether you want everything deleted, or only something specific — for example: “remove my phone number, keep the invoice”.
  • If you are writing on behalf of someone else, in what capacity.

By WhatsApp. Message us at our WhatsApp number with the words “I want my data deleted”. We will confirm in the same conversation.

Write from the address or number you already used with us and that is enough for us to identify you. If we cannot match your request to any record, we will tell you so. We will not ask you for documents we do not need.

4. What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your request within 72 hours (business days), in writing.
  2. We verify it comes from you. Normally that means replying from the same email address or phone number. If the request arrives through a different channel, we may ask you to confirm from the original one.
  3. We complete the deletion within 30 days. If a request is unusually complex we may extend it, and we will tell you why before the 30 days are up.
  4. We confirm in writing what was deleted, and name anything we had to keep and the reason.

Requests are free. We will not make you jump through a support queue, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

5. What we delete

  • Contact records and quote requests.
  • The WhatsApp conversation history held on our side.
  • Analytics events and the session identifier associated with you.
  • The private documents we published for you, and their unlisted addresses.
  • Your entries in any mailing or follow-up list we keep.
  • The copies of all of the above held in the automation systems we use to process them.

6. What we cannot delete, and why

Invoices and payment records. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep them, and Stripe keeps its own transaction records. They stay for the legally required period and are used for nothing else.

Anything needed to establish or defend a legal claim. Signed contracts and their annexes, for as long as the applicable limitation period runs.

Aggregated figures. Counters and totals that no longer identify anyone, such as visits per month or conversions per campaign. These cannot be traced back to you and are not reversible.

Backups. We delete from live systems immediately. Encrypted backups are not edited one record at a time; they are overwritten on their normal rotation and are never used for anything except restoring a failure.

A record of your request. We keep a minimal note that you asked and that we complied: the date, the channel and what was removed. That is what proves we did it.

7. Deleting the browsing data yourself, right now

The analytics identifiers live in your own browser, not in a cookie. Clearing site data for fixriver.com removes them, and from that point on you are a new anonymous visitor to us. In Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge this is under the padlock icon in the address bar, then site settings, then delete data.

That clears the link going forward. To remove the events already recorded, ask us using the instructions in section 3.

8. Third parties

WhatsApp (Meta). Deleting a chat on your phone does not delete our copy. Ask us and we will delete ours. Data Meta itself holds about your WhatsApp account is managed from Meta’s own privacy tools.

Stripe. Payment records are held by Stripe as an independent controller. We will ask them to delete whatever is not legally required.

Meta and LinkedIn. You can opt out of advertising measurement from your own account settings on each platform.

Hosting and network. Our host and Cloudflare keep short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, which are deleted automatically on their own cycle.

9. Your other rights

Deletion is one of several rights. You can also ask for access to your data, correction of anything wrong, a copy in a portable format, or restriction of how we use it. Same address, same process: contacto (at) fixriver (dot) com.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you may complain to your national data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you may exercise the equivalent rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

10. Changes to this page

Last updated: July 31, 2026. If we change how we handle deletion requests we will update this page and change the date above.
